SUMMARY:  Provide direct support to the Controls. Support Contracting, Security, and Icon as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Generate purchase orders and order materials for projects and overhead expenses as directed by Project Managers, Technicians, and Engineering.
  • Order all Trane material via Trane Hub and Trane Citrix.
  • Instruct material delivery to correct location.
  • Track orders and notify Project Manager or Technician when material is shipped.
  • Review, revise, and receive purchase orders for A/P processing.
  • Make Hotel reservations for technicians working remotely.
  • Process technician credit card purchases and enter per diem expenses.
  • Generate initial Material order for new Controls Technicians, and handle ongoing orders for tool inventory.
  • Generate project material cost transfer documentation for Finance.
  • Generate system RMAs, and coordinate Trane warranty parts return.
  • Investigate concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with Brady associates on any Material ordering or shipping discrepancies.
  • Track spare parts and discard obsolete parts as needed.
  • Work with engineers on materials cost analysis.
  • Promotes rewarding workplace by treating co-workers with respect and consideration.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

 CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Provide responsive, professional and diplomatic customer service
  • Answer customer calls and correspondence quickly and pleasantly
  • Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional, and patient manner
  • Perform all duties with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Immediately address any customer’s concern and requests the involvement of other Company personnel as required

Safety:

  • Follow all company safety programs and report any non-compliance to Controls Operations Leader
  • Notify Controls Operations Leader or Safety Manager of any unsafe conditions

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  None.

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum 1 year of administrative/customer service experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:  MS Office Suite, general familiarity with computer systems, and ability to learn software applications as required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  None.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and write.  Required to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers.  Ability to understand and translate correspondence from dictation.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Must possess basic math skills.  Ability to perform basic math operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
