What You Will Do:
Operate machinery, process and/or filling equipment to meet production goalsÂ
Set up production lines correctly and perform core Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activitiesÂ
Operate equipment such as fillers, sleeve labelers, cappers, tape machines, bar coders, ink jet printers, hand wrenches, hand stamps, palletizers, and lid pressesÂ
Review filling and packaging instructions and ensure correct materials and PPE are availableÂ
Perform quality checks, including taking samples and monitoring fill weightsÂ
Document quality and productivity data accurately in paper or electronic systemsÂ
Assist with line changeovers and wash water collectionÂ
Maintain a clean and safe work environmentÂ
Participate in Kaizens, 5S, and special projects to drive continuous improvementÂ
Identify and help eliminate sources of waste in systems and processesÂ

Plant Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Work Week & Shift: Â Days (2-2-3) 6a-6:30p / Nights (2-2-3) 6p-6:30a
ÂCompensation: $19.00 / hour + $1.50 differential for overnight shift

Minimum Qualifications:Â
High School diploma or equivalentÂ
Previous experience in a plant or warehouse environmentÂ

Physical Demands:Â
This position requires regularly lifting and carrying 50 lbs
Â
Preferred Qualifications:Â
Experience using basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimalsÂ
Experience completing training and mastering skills required by the position (e.g., Hazardous Material Safety and DOT training)Â
Experience understanding and tracking safety, quality, and productivity dataÂ
Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power toolsÂ
Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) and Continuous Improvement SystemsÂ
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work as part of a teamÂ
