PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT:
With reasonable accommodation if required, will operate basic stamp finishing machinery including polar cutters and other basic machinery in support of stamp finishing operations, meeting safety and production requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :
Maintains a safe working environment at all times
Operates Stamp Finishing Department equipment including polar cutters and other related equipment.
Handles, measures, cuts, and feeds material.
Reads and understands SOP standards.
Maintains operating and malfunction/downtime log and required production documentation (manual and “SERADEX” ERP system)
Complete/document daily production including downtime.
Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, performs quality checks.
Performs routine maintenance and clean up.
Trains new employees as requested
Assists with examining product when needed
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some previous printing or binding machine operation helpful but not required.
Must be able to read and write English.
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Internet)
Work well in a team environment.
Some Mechanical aptitude
Good visual acuity and color vision
Ability to read and use various metric units
Ability to walk, stand, bend or reach 12 hours.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs often.
Ability to work on any shift (day or night/12 hour or 8 hour shifts)
Must be able to adhere to stringent safety, quality and security rules.
