POSITION INFO:

POSITION TITLE: Material Handler (Pkg. Hopper)
DEPARTMENT/CATEGORY: Packaging
JOB TYPE: Hourly
SHIFT: 12-Hour Shift (C3)
REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor
LOCATION: Greensboro

PERFORMANCE SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for operating a forklift. Moving finished product from the packaging area to stretch wrap machine and into warehouse for placement onto inventory racks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner to perform necessary job requirements.
• Know & understand finished goods functions, including production order completion & scanning knowledge.
• Organize partial skids and transfer them back to packaging station.
• Responsible for housekeeping in the packaging & warehouse areas, including sweeping out bins and cleaning tape machines.
• Promote safe work behavior and strong housekeeping habits within the packaging department and through-out the NIBCO Greensboro facility.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

• Forklift experience required; preferred

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

• Repetitive hand movement, lifting, and placing boxes varying weight up to 50 lbs.
• Extreme temperatures of up to 110 degrees in peak summer months.
• Subjects to standing for extended period.
