Job DetailsJob Location: Greensburg - Greensburg, PA 15601Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnyThe Assisted Medical Transport Operator position is part of the third service entity of Mutual Aid Ambulance Service. This position offers a unique interface with those residents of our service communities who are physically challenged or who are senior citizens.  Responsibilities: The Assisted Medical Transport Operator will be responsible for special transportation needs of our service communities who are physically challenged or who are senior citizens. Transport the clients in a timely fashion to their prescribed destination. Act as the liaison between the requesting facility, agent or individual and the corporation. It is essential that this individual utilizes the utmost in professional courtesy, knowledge of the system’s operational areas and must be able to perform their duties thoroughly. Assures compliance with all F.C.C., D.O.H., A.D.A., and P.U.C. legislation. Assures compliance with all corporate directives, policies, standard operating procedures and/or the job specific guidelines. Accepts and acts on all assigned transport requests. Collect fees from the clients, make changes when necessary, issue receipts, and account for all revenue. Maintain an accurate operator’s log of daily activities. Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections and record such inspections. Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the department and/or the directors or their designee.  Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older as mandated by the state vehicle code. A minimum of an approved First Aid program, Emergency First Responder program or Pennsylvania Department of Health approved training curriculum for Emergency Medical Technician. Vehicle Operators License (PA Department of Transportation) with no suspension within the previous four (4) years. Current Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider CPR certification. A corporate approved training program to encompass equipment operations, corporate standards and job specific guidelines. A verifiable employment background record, which shows the maturity and stability, required for the position. EVOC Certification Able to be bonded  Physical Requirements: Ability to control the scene. Ability to lift, carry and balance a minimum of 125 pounds equally distributed (250 pounds with assistance) a height of 33 inches and a distance of 10 feet. Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity and fine motor skill to perform all tasks related to quality patient care. Ability to bend, stoop, crawl and walk on uneven surfaces. Meet minimum vision requirements to operate a motor vehicle within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
