Program Director, Nutrition & Dietetics Program

Seton Hill University invites applications for the tenure track position of Program Director/Assistant or Associate Professor for the Nutrition and Dietetics Program. Start date is August 1, 2026. The Nutrition & Dietetics Program sits in the College of Health Professions & Natural Sciences. The Program Director reports to the College Dean. The program offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees, including the ACEND accredited MS in Nutrition & Dietetics. 

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative
    • Provide direct oversight for all academic and administrative matters. 
    • Lead the faculty in strategic planning and monitor the process to further the program's mission in teaching, research, service, and patient care. 
    • Supervise the process of maintaining ACEND program accreditation. 
    • Promotes the program and enhancing its visibility, assisting with recruiting and retaining students, and managing the day-to-day logistics of the program. 
  • Teaching and advising
    • Teach both undergraduate and graduate populations
    • Teach in both in-person and online formats
    • Mentor students through academic and professional development
    • Provide academic advising
  • Scholarship and professional activities
    • Engage in professional and/or scholarly activity in the field
  • Service to the University
    • Participate in service to the College and University 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A MS in Nutrition & Dietetics, or related field, is required
  • Registered Dietitian, licensed to practice in Pennsylvania

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctoral degree, such as PhD in Nutrition or Doctor of Clinical Nutrition, or related field 
  • Familiarity with ACEND accreditation standards
  • Prior leadership experience
