Main duties

As a Saw Operator, you are responsible for providing machining areas with workable material and performing daily inventory transactions.

  • Moving and manipulating large graphite blocks with a fork truck.
  • Operating band and wire saws and other medium equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Accurately measuring and cutting material using saws.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Promote, demonstrate, and emphasize safety.
  • Visually inspect parts and complete inspection documentation.
  • Conducts oneself as a model Mersen employee and treats employees with courtesy and respect.
  • Supports Mersen company policies, rules, and core values.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills and ability to work with decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with basic measuring tools.
