Job Description:

The Supervisor, Paint Aircraft Maintenance Responsible for leading an HDL paint team consisting of hourly painters to complete aircraft paint projects, in a VIP setting.


Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for monitoring budgets, organizing daily tasks to meet milestones, understanding IMS schedule, and driving the overall performance on aircraft paint projects.
  • Establishing and tracking day-to-day production requirements that includes budget, safety, quality, and performance.
  • Team will consist of between eight to twelve hourly mechanics. 
  • Ability to interpret Government, FAA, and Company Aviation Safety regulations.
  • Ability to read\interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and general aviation knowledge.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of military, commercial, or general aviation aircraft.
  • Must possess ability to perform analytical analysis and apply risk mitigation techniques.
  • Willingness and ability to be flexible to work off shifts and overtime to meet business requirements. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisorial experience with general aviation, military aircraft, or manufacturing.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Boeing Wide/Narrow body, Gulfstream platform experience.
  • VIP paint application experience.
  • Lean or Six-Sigma Training.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, team building, and coaching skills.
