Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Business Development Representative I-III based at our Greenville, NClocation. 

  

What you will do: 

  • Identify, research, and engage prospective customers through phone, email, social media, and other outreach methods to generate qualified sales opportunities and build a healthy pipeline. 

  • Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, business goals, and potential fit, then coordinate a seamless handoff of sales-ready opportunities to the sales team. 

  • Execute targeted business development and marketing campaigns in partnership with sales, marketing, and business development teams to increase customer engagement and demand generation. 

  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect information in CRM systems, track activity, and leverage data and market insights to prioritize outreach efforts and identify new opportunities. 

  • Level II & III: Analyze target accounts and market segments to develop strategic prospecting plans and maximize opportunity generation.  

  • Level III: Provide guidance, mentorship, and best-practice sharing to support the development of less experienced team members.

What you will need: 

Level I: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 0-1 years of experience in customer relationship management, sales, marketing, or a related field 

  • Associate degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience 

  • 4 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree 

 

Level II: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience in customer relationship management, sales, marketing, or a related field 

  • Associate degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience 

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree 

Level III: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience in customer relationship management, sales, marketing, or a related field 

  • Associate degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience 

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree 

 

Skills, Experience, & Abilities:    

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. 

  • Ability to analyze sales, customer, and market data to identify opportunities and prioritize outreach efforts. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage prospective customers and internal stakeholders. 

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong relationship-building and prospecting skills, with the ability to establish credibility, foster customer connections, and generate qualified business opportunities. 

  • Level III: Advanced proficiency with Salesforce and/or sales engagement platforms, with the ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members.
