Job DetailsJob Location: Greenville, WI 54942Salary Range: $17.00 - $22.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: FirstAn Edgebander Machine Operator is a skilled technician who sets up, operates, and maintains machinery to apply protective and decorative edging to the exposed edges of panels like MDF or particleboard. The Operator is responsible for feeding panels, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the final product meets quality standards for smoothness and adhesion. Essential Functions: Complete standard and routine production tasks in accordance with established procedures and timelines. Utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Verify measurements to ensure final products align with order specifications. Performs machine setup activities to prepare equipment for operation. Operates machinery in accordance with established procedures and production requirements. Apply total quality control principles by utilizing appropriate measurement and inspection tools to verify that parts meet required tolerances. Maintain all equipment by executing preventive maintenance tasks and following manufacturer operating and care guidelines. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate necessary repairs with maintenance personnel or external service providers. Maintain accurate and up to date inventory records for all materials and supplies. Perform quality control (QC) tests as required to verify product compliance with specifications. Ensure all products meet or exceed quality expectations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by adhering to established housekeeping and safety procedures. Interprets and applies product specifications as indicated on production labels. Competencies: Sharp observation skills to identify, correct, and prevent product defects or inconsistencies. Ability to detect malfunctions through sound or visual indicators and perform minor repairs. Technical aptitude to set up and operate machinery for consistent, high-quality output. Ability to work with precise measurements.
