Position:

The Nurse Educator is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for designing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that support professional growth, skill development, and clinical competency. This role applies adult learning principles to enhance staff performance and patient care outcomes. This is a non-union position that is 8 hours daily and 40 hours weekly, with occasional weekend requirements. 

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
  • MSN Required
  • BLS & ACLS certification required 
  • BLS AHA Instructor certification within 6 months of hire
  • ACLS AHA Instructor certification within 6 months of hire
  • Certification in specific area of nursing preferred
  • Three years of nursing experience required. 
  • One year of clinical education experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to design and deliver effective educational programs using adult learning principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to assess learning needs and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Comfortable working in both independent and collaborative environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs
  • Capable of handling high-activity environments, including periods of standing, walking, and sitting
  • Ability to assist with patient lifting and transportation as needed
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency and high-stress situations
  • Awareness of and adherence to safety protocols in environments with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and other hazards
  • All other tasks as assigned.
