JOB SUMMARY: The Foodservice Merchandising Intern supports the planning, allocation, execution, and analysis of foodservice projects as well as the day-to-day functions of product introduction, placement, and promotional analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists with managing the foodservice department monthly promotional planner
- Imputing vendor cost, retails, gross profit, volume projections
- Documenting and reporting all promotional performances.
- Assisting with monthly promotional sign needs to support monthly promotional plans.
- Support category managers with meeting preparations and relevant data. Provide summaries and initiate next steps on key takeaways.
- Support pricing department with promotional item cost, retail, and date changes in a timely fashion.
- Ensures location signage is properly displayed, in good condition and up to date. Makes corrections when necessary.
- Understands menu item cost analysis, develops menu recipes meeting gross profit requirements, taking into account shrink, waste and labor.
- Assist in maintaining Fresh IQ with label creation, procedures, and cataloging item spec sheets in a timely fashion.
- Manages FOTG and Foodservice item labeling for all foodservice locations and commissary.
- Maintain foodservice recipe books for all foodservice categories.
- Assist category manager and store operations personnel in all in supply management opportunities with vendors. Â
- Complete competitive price surveys as needed outlined by category managers.
- Assist category managers in FOTG reset planning and implementation:
- New items and new item set up.
- Exit plans of discontinued items.
- Signage/labels, product placement
- In field execution management
- Performs other duties as assigned by category manager.
