Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineering.

The Lead Systems Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams in support of Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of a variety of IMINT systems, collection platforms, ground stations, including their capabilities, employment, testing, and integration. The SA will support various programs assisting in system integration, requirements verification and validation, as well as troubleshooting for full system and subsystems integrations.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements.
  • Engage with US and foreign customers to design ISR collection systems to support the specified requirements of each.
  • Participate in Bid and Proposal for multiple platform configurations.
  • Strong understanding of physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
  • Lead test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
  • Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
  • Author and execute effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Perform hands-on test, integration, and verification of software and/or hardware.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communications skills.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10%.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree, Systems Engineering and a minimum of 10 years’ prior experience.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.

 

 Preferred Additional Skills/Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret with SCI security clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, and/or model-based systems engineering 
  • Ability to successfully pass an FAA Class 3 Flight Physical and Altitude chamber to support test flights.
  • Military EO/IR, Radar, RF, ECM, IRCM and/or Aircraft Self Protection Maintenance experience.
  • Experienced operating in a Linux environment
  • Experienced with DOORS and/or Jira
