Shriners Children's Greenville has an opportunity for a PRN Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities

Administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician.  Duties include:

OrdersObtains physician's order prior to initiating therapy.

Patient AssessmentAble to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 

Routine TherapySets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 

Ventilator TherapyAble to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 

Outpatient ClinicAble to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion. 

POCTAble to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation. Maintain all State and Joint Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation

Qualifications

Required:  

Associate Degree - Respiratory Therapy

3 Years Experience as Respiratory Care Practitioner

1 Year Experience in Pediatric Critical Care

RT license in state of practice

Certified Respiratory Therapist

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:

Registered Respiratory Therapist

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
