About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician III plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment within the non-durable goods sector. This position involves advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of complex machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production quality. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly. Additionally, this role requires the implementation of maintenance best practices and adherence to safety standards to support a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician III contributes to optimizing equipment performance, thereby supporting the company’s operational goals and product delivery commitments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably non-durable goods.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repair.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading maintenance teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, document repairs, and update equipment logs to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train and mentor junior maintenance staff to enhance team capabilities and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment upgrades.
