Experienced Veterinary Assistant

Cleveland Park Animal Hospital | Greenville, SC

Full-Time | Four 10-Hour Shifts

Cleveland Park Animal Hospital has been caring for Greenville's pets for generations, and we're looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to become an important part of our medical team. If you enjoy staying busy, supporting quality patient care, and working alongside people who genuinely enjoy what they do, we'd love to meet you.

This role is perfect for someone who is confident in a clinical setting, enjoys working directly with patients and clients, and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed to keep the hospital running smoothly.

What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support our doctors and technicians throughout the day by helping provide outstanding care to patients while creating a positive experience for pet owners.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Safely restraining and handling canine and feline patients
  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
  • Administering treatments and medications as directed
  • Collecting laboratory samples and performing basic in-house diagnostics
  • Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas for patient care
  • Monitoring hospitalized patients and reporting changes to the medical team
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Communicating clearly with clients about treatments, medications, and follow-up care
  • Assisting with cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital, including treatment, boarding, and grooming areas

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required
  • Strong animal handling and patient care skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented practice
  • Reliable, organized, and eager to learn
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed

Schedule

  • Four 10-hour shifts each week
  • Every fourth Saturday
  • Participation in holiday and occasional treatment weekend rotations
