Water Mitigation Technician – $18–$23/hr + Bonus + Career Growth

Full-Time | In-Person | Field-Based Restoration Work 

We’re hiring immediately for our Greenville, NC team. 

CareMaster has been helping families and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, and storm damage for more than 55 years. This role is ideal for someone with experience in restoration, construction, demolition, maintenance, general labor, facilities work, or hands-on field service. Direct water mitigation experience is a strong advantage, but we are willing to train the right person. 

Pay and benefits 

$18–$23 per hour, based on experience, reliability, and certifications

North Carolina nonexempt employees must receive overtime pay at time-and-one-half for hours worked over 40 in a workweek unless an exemption applies. 

What you’ll do 

Respond to water damage, mold, fire, and storm-related restoration jobs 

Extract water and remove damaged materials when needed 

Set up drying equipment, containment, and jobsite protection 

Take moisture readings and monitor drying progress

Assist with demolition, cleanup, packing, moving contents, and jobsite preparation Document work with photos, notes, readings, and daily updates 

Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and teammates Keep trucks, tools, equipment, and jobsites clean and organized 

Follow safety procedures and company standards 

Participate in the emergency on-call rotation after training 

What we’re looking for 

Dependable, coachable, and willing to work hard 

Comfortable with physical work, tools, equipment, and changing jobsite conditions Able to communicate respectfully with customers during stressful situations Strong attention to detail with photos, notes, and documentation 

Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements, including being at least 21 years of age 

Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements, including background check and motor vehicle record review, in accordance with company standards and applicable law 

Able to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and work in residential and commercial properties Available for some evenings, weekends, and emergency response work 

Restoration, construction, demolition, maintenance, janitorial, moving, warehouse, or field service experience preferred 

Preferred but not required 

Water mitigation or restoration experience 

IICRC WRT certification 

Experience with moisture meters, dehumidifiers, air movers, containment, demolition, or drying equipment 

Experience using DASH, DryTrack, Xactimate, or similar restoration software Desire to grow into a Lead Technician role 

No restoration experience yet?

Service area includes Greenville and surrounding Eastern North Carolina communities Vehicle, driving, and pre-employment requirements 

All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. This requirement is tied to company vehicle use, field response duties, jobsite travel, and CareMaster’s commercial auto insurance requirements. Final eligibility for vehicle operation is subject to review of driving history and confirmation that the applicant meets company and insurance standards.
