Job Description and Requirements After Hire:
  1. Alignment with all items listed in the department’s requirements including skills, schedule and FTE.
  2. Agreement to participate in the Nurse Residency Program and its educational support components.
  3. Participation in Basic ECG course at Wayne HealthCare.
  4. Participation in American Heart Association ACLS course at Wayne HealthCare.
  5. Participation in any other certification class required (PALS, TNCC, NRP, EFM, etc). 

Qualifications: 

  1. To apply, the Residency Candidate must have a valid Registered Nurse license and have less than one year of experience within the department of hire (OR)
  2. Be a nursing school student with an anticipated graduation date within the next six months: Associates or Bachelor’s degree program (OR)
  3. Have already graduated nursing school and is pending NCLEX. (A valid RN license in Ohio is required prior to start date).
  4. Current BLS/CPR card (or identified plan with Residency Coordinator to obtain immediately after start date).

  1. Be open to learning new skills and professional development.
  2. Ask questions as you grow.
  3. Be willing to utilize supportive components that are aligned for your development and safety.
  4. Prepare for class and participate with the group.
  5. Stay with your preceptor while assigned to ensure best learning opportunities and safety considerations are met.
