JOB SUMMARY:

 

This position is responsible for performing skilled and complex daily activities in the maintenance, repair and construction of facilities and other structures to include HVAC.  The essential duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of those required on the job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES:

  1. Perform complex maintenance and diagnostic services and similar systems maintenance, repair or construction of PAI facilities and structures.
  2. Service HVAC equipment such as heat pumps, and Geothermal heating & cooling systems, repairing, heating systems, hot water heating, and steam condensate pumps.
  3. Estimate and procure compatible materials and tools required to perform maintenance, repair, and construction-related functions.
  4. Maintain appropriate work records, and documents, including work orders and formal and informal inspections.
  5. Prepare and process daily work reports, inspection reports, work orders, requisitions, sketches, etc.  Plans the layout of wiring and installs wiring, Watertight conduit.
  6. Inspect Facilities to identify maintenance and repair requirements and priorities.  Respond to emergency and non-emergency service calls, diagnoses problems and makes minor repairs.
  7. Estimate and procure compatible materials and tools required to perform maintenance, repair and construction-related functions.
  8. Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and drawings.  
  9. Ability to initiate and close a Work Order in Blue Mountain software system.  
  10. Serve as SME for department HVAC questions.  Perform reviews of department SOP’s and recommend changes.
  11. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED equivalent plus 2 years’ experience in performing building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and minor construction maintenance and repairs or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Must possess valid state Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history.   preferred in a Maintenance and/or Manufacturing and high-speed environment.  cGMP and GDP experience required. Must possess a Type I, II & III Refrigeration License.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

 This position requires the individual be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.   Effective verbal and written communication skills.  Exhibit good documentation practices with neat and legible hand writing.   Proficient Microsoft Office Products. Knowledge of basic hand tools.  Basic understanding of all types of pumps and valves.

Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk and hear, occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.  frequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk and hear, occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  Safety Glass are required on the floor.
