Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Service Operations Specialist based at our Greenville, NC location.

What you will do: 

  • Manage local, regional, and corporate customer relationships to ensure high levels of service, maximize fleet uptime, and reduce cost of ownership. 

  • Review and negotiate fleet repair quotes with dealers, ensuring repairs are cost-effective and completed in a timely manner. 

  • Follow up on escalated repairs to minimize downtime and ensure quick resolution of service issues. 

  • Handle customer inquiries and service escalations, responding to service questions and resolving issues efficiently. 

  • Develop dealer program guides and maintain open communication with dealers to streamline operations. 

  • Review and approve customer invoices, ensuring repairs are accurately coded and expenses are justified for clear reporting and consultative support.  

 

Who you are: 

  • A clear communicator with excellent verbal and written skills. 

  • Customer-focused, with the ability to create positive experiences and resolve issues efficiently. 

  • A strong negotiator, capable of managing repair quotes and working with dealers. 

  • Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in repair approvals and service reporting. 

  • A collaborative team player with the ability to manage relationships and drive results. 

 

What you will need: 

 

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years in dealer service operations or customer service 

  • Alternative: Associate degree with 3-5 years in dealer service operations or customer service 

  • In lieu of a degree: 5+ years in dealer service operations or customer service 

 

Skills, Experience & Abilities       

  • Knowledge of fleet management and vehicle repair processes. 

  • Experience reviewing and negotiating repair quotes. 

  • Proven ability to review and approve service invoices. 

  • Familiarity with service platforms and accurate repair documentation. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft office including Excel. 

  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems is desirable but not required.
