Position:

This PRN position is for a House Supervisor working varied shifts. The applicants schedule will be based on the needs of the department. The position reports to the VP of Patient Care Services. 

Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Currently licensed and registered to practice as a RN in the state of OH, or valid OH compact license.
  • BSN preferred, Master’s degree desired.
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required within one year for Full & part time house supervisors (excludes resource and support staff) recommended to be taken at Wayne Healthcare.
  • PALS required.
  • Minimum of 3 years current experience as a charge/staff nurse with demonstrated administrative and leadership abilities OR, Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a nursing managerial position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Integrate nursing service into the organization’s primary functions, and attain the organization’s Mission
  • Coordinate and integrate interdepartmental and intradepartmental services
  • Develops and implements Nursing standards and procedures that guide and support the provision of services for the nursing department and the hospital
  • Recommend a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care, including treatment
  • Continuously assess and improve the performance of care and services provided
  • Understands the principles and steps of problem solving and acts as a resource to others in problem identification and resolution
  • Supervises RNs, LPN’s, operating room technicians, nursing assistants, clerical support personnel.
  • Must be able to work independently.
