Job Description:
PIRTEK is looking to hire a Hose Installation Technician to service, assemble and install hoses for a diverse customer’s base such as manufacturing, construction, and rental companies, to name a few. We are looking for applicants with excellent communication and strong customer service skills. As a PIRTEK Hose Installation Technician, you will be operating out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose-built mobile hose workshop/van and be carrying out service calls in the local area. This provides the opportunity to develop relationships with new and existing customers.
Successful candidates will be fully trained to operate a PIRTEK mobile service van fitted with specialized equipment designed to fabricate flexible hose assemblies on site.
Responsibilities:
- Service, assemble and install hoses for a diverse customer’s base
- Carry out service calls in the local area
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency service (on-call shifts are rotated among technicians to ensure work-life balance)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanically Inclined — Hands-on aptitude with industrial equipment and a strong mechanical skill set. Experience in one or more of the following areas is optimal:
- Hydraulic or industrial hose assembly, maintenance, or repair
- Brazing and/or welding
- Machining and lathe operation
- Automotive or heavy-equipment mechanical work
- Good Communication Skills
- Positive attitude
- Self-motivated
- Clean driving record
