Summary:Â Â
Analyze, design, and modify custom applications to support a variety of financial business’s needs in a team environment. Duties include simple to complex design, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, while working under guidance of Sr. Developer or Application Development Manager. Has some experience developing and designing small to large scale applications. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Software Engineer.

Roles & Responsibilities:Â Â
Construct and maintain custom Microsoft applicationsÂ
Work directly with leads on large or complex software projectsÂ
Responsible for creating work estimates, technical project plants, and implementation plansÂ
Work collaboratively within an agile project teamÂ
May assist in research on emerging application development technology, products, and processesÂ
Follow best practices and coding standardsÂ
Â
Skills & Qualifications:Â Â
3-5 years of experience in the field or equivalent combination of education and experienceÂ
Familiar with distributed architecture and relational databasesÂ
Experience developing custom softwareÂ
Demonstrates experience in IT concepts and practicesÂ
Understands the software development lifecycle and is familiar with more than one approach to software development.Â
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentÂ
Good communication skills with a customer support orientationÂ
Excellent problem-solving skillsÂ
Desire to develop in an agile environmentÂ
Experience with agile methodologies is a plusÂ
C#Â
ASP.NET Web developmentÂ
Win Form applications, WPFÂ preferredÂ
Develop database objects for MS SQL ServerÂ
Windows Communication Foundation or equivalent web service experienceÂ
Familiarity with Software Design Patterns a plusÂ
Familiarity with Automated Unit Testing a plusÂ
Experience with MS Team Foundation Server a plusÂ

College degree preferred; or a combination of education and experience
