Job Summary

The Material Handler operates a forklift efficiently around the production warehouse and in and out of semi-trucks. Reviews daily schedule of production work orders and stages all required raw materials for operators. Maintains an organized warehouse storage system. 

Essential Functions

  • Adheres to WMC’s quality management system.
  • Inspects product load for accuracy and safely moves it around the warehouse to ensure timely and complete delivery. 
  • Sorts product before loading and unloading.
  • Maintains an organized warehouse storage system.
  • Manually or mechanically loads or unloads materials from pallets or other transport vehicles. 
  • Secures material or products for transport to designated areas. 
  • Works closely with BDB employees to maintain the required inventory levels at Moore Street as stated by SCM. 
  • Reviews daily schedule of production work orders and stages all required raw materials. 
  • Moves controls to drive propane-powered trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas. 
  • Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Safety Requirements: Understand and follow all WMC Health & Safety Practices. Report all injuries and unsafe work conditions. Attend mandatory safety training and request additional training as needed. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • At least 1 year of forklift.  

Work Environment

  • Plant/manufacturing facility. Not completely temperature controlled.


Second Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:45 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Base pay plus generous shift premium.
