Position Overview
A Greenwich, CT law firm seeks an Entry-Level Legal Assistant to support its Commercial Real Estate, Finance, and Franchise Department. This role provides administrative and transactional support to attorneys working on complex commercial transactions.
The ideal candidate is professional, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are essential. Motivated college graduates with strong technical skills and an interest in the legal field are encouraged to apply. Prior commercial real estate experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and transactional support to attorneys in the Commercial Real Estate, Finance, and Franchise Department.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of commercial real estate closings, including organizing title and survey materials, lease abstracts, settlement statements, and closing documentation.
- Support commercial finance transactions, including assistance with loan document preparation and UCC financing statements.
- Assist with franchise-related transactions and documentation.
- Gather, organize, and track transactional due diligence materials.
- Prepare and assemble closing binders and transaction files.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical client files.
- Assist with document formatting, word processing, and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Maintain calendars, track deadlines, and support attorneys in meeting key transaction milestones.
- Scan, file, and manage document records in accordance with firm policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and assist with additional projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Recent graduates or early-career professionals with an interest in the legal field are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with attorneys, colleagues, and clients.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Interest in real estate, finance, or transactional law is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:Â This position offers a salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Support staff may also be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses and a merit-based increase. The posted salary range reflects the base pay range for this position.
