SUPERVISOR:
Manager or designee. 

SUMMARY:  
Performs routine inspections and maintenance on all electrical systems including normal power and emergency distribution, transformers, TVSS, VFD's, starters, lighting, receptacles and PA systems. The position is largely responsible for the execution of maintaining all components of electrical systems and providing action in a preventative manner to test, inspect and repair. Supports department in resolving after hours emergencies. Mau be required to work flexible hours or shifts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work independently in performing preventive and routine maintenance on District electrical systems. [Daily, 55%]
• Completes departmental reports, documentation and work orders. [Daily, 2%]
• Troubleshoots, installs and repairs intercom systems. [Weekly, 20%]
• Performs code required maintenance, testing and inspections of facility electrical systems. Also assists and directs contractors with required electrical inspections and with correction of all resulting deficiencies. [Monthly, 5%]
• Endorses development of parts inventory and coordinates with parts manager. [Monthly, 3%]
• Collaborates with electricians engaged in electrical construction of circuits and equipment for large projects. [Quarterly, 10%]
• Shares on-call rotation for department. [Quarterly, 3%]
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 2%] 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years electrical experience.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics and product/operational manuals.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly.
• Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired. 

• State of Colorado Journeyman Electrician license.
• Valid Colorado driver's license. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Three (3) years as a commercial journey electrician.
• Previous service/maintenance experience preferred.
• Vocational/Technical Schooling.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

• Good Motor Skills - hand tools and machinery are used daily.
• Lifting fifty (50) lbs.
• Daily moving of equipment, furniture and materials.
• Pushing and pulling.
• Repetitive motions such as bending.
• Climbing stairs ladders and vehicles.
• Squatting.
• Overhead work.
• Various vertical heights.
