Description

The Parts Counter Salesperson is hired by, reports to and is evaluated by the Parts Manager. The Parts Counter Salesperson is responsible for the selling, stocking, shipping and receiving of parts and accessories. The Parts Counter Salesperson works in collaboration with the Parts Manager, service department team members, vendors, and customers to further the goals and objectives of Delta Group. Other job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:


Parts Department Responsibilities

  • Promotes and sells products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Supplies service technicians with parts as required.
  • Verifies receipting in of shipments and assists with placing emergency and stock orders.
  • Assists in keeping the parts department clean and orderly.
  • Follows up on shortages/backorders and expedites issues by reporting them to the Parts Manger.
  • Performs cycle counts on a daily basis.
  • Puts away stock and keeps warehouse clean and orderly.  
  • Assists with conducting annual physical inventory.  
  • Completes professional development trainings as required to stay abreast of equipment and parts updates, technology advancements, and trends in the agricultural and farm equipment industries.


Team Leadership

  • Develops and maintains open communication among employees, customers, vendors, partners, and suppliers.
  • Encourages and promotes a collaborative working relationship between the parts, sales, and service departments.    


Customer Service

  • Handles all customer questions, concerns, and complaints expeditiously.
  • Reinforces a philosophy of “fix it right the first time”.
  • Believes in always “under promising and over delivering” when providing a customer an estimate for required parts and supplies.

Education, Experience and Background:

  • High school diploma or GED required.  
  • Prior parts department experience and machinery knowledge preferred
