We are looking for an Assembly Coordinator to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 1st shift schedule.

You will be responsible for maintaining the staging, assembly, and quality for the assembly production line.  These include but are not limited to preparing and staging parts for assembly, reading/laying out work orders, counting and sorting parts; reviewing and editing final inspection/quality paperwork; maintaining the build list, efficiencies, and ship list. 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Receives and inspects incoming parts for discrepancies/damage and reports problems promptly to the appropriate person and/or through the proper quality form, Sorts, and store’s inventory parts according to blueprints, work orders, part numbers and other pertinent information. 
  • Prepares items accurately for assembly/production according to customer orders/instructions by retrieving parts from storage and/or inventory and assembling by order, dispatch, etc.  
  • Stores materials and parts according to part number and/or description by safely performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and stacking by hand or safely using material handling equipment. 
  • Maintains accurate documentation by logging and tracking parts through Traverse system. 
  • Reports shipping and receiving details to the appropriate department on a regular and timely basis; maintains the warehouse and staging area in a safe and orderly manner. 
  • Inspects product for the proper quality and documents accordingly through excel, traverse, etc. 
  • Reviews quality and assembly paperwork prior to shipping. Ensures labels, IFUs, certifications, etc. are properly applied/included in the shipping package.  Transacts approve quality steps in traverse and/or online. 
  • Oversees quality and assembly team with guidance from the team lead to ensure proper adherence to the dispatch list/build schedule.   
  • Takes ownership of the ship today list and ensures every item ships on time. 
  • Tracks and maintains efficiency measurements to ensure productivity. 
  • Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations; Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety and training guidelines. 
  • Helps train new employees as required. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required. 

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
