About the Role:
The EHS/Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that environmental, health, and safety standards are integrated seamlessly into project planning and execution across the organization. This position is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies. The role requires a strategic mindset to identify potential risks and implement proactive measures that safeguard employees, the environment, and company assets. The EHS/Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between project stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal departments to maintain transparent communication and effective collaboration. Ultimately, this role drives continuous improvement in EHS performance while successfully managing project deliverables to support the company’s operational goals and sustainability commitments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•   Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
•   Lead project planning sessions, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and coordinate resources to achieve project goals.
•   Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
•   Manage project budgets, schedules, and documentation while ensuring alignment with EHS standards and company requirements.
•   Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
•   Provide training and guidance to project teams on EHS best practices and regulatory compliance.
•   Prepare and present regular reports on project status, EHS performance metrics, and compliance issues to senior management.
•   Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, leading investigations and implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Minimum Education and Experience:
•   Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
•   Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management within a project management context.
•   Proven knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
•   Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
•   Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
•   Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
•   Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credentials.
•   Experience with environmental management systems such as ISO 14001 and occupational health and safety management systems like ISO 45001.
•   Familiarity with construction, manufacturing, or industrial project environments.
•   Advanced proficiency in project management software and EHS tracking tools.

Working Conditions:Â
Must be able to lift and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs., up to 10% of the work time.
