Job Scope
This position ensures the smooth functioning of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, staging, auditing, and shipping components, finished goods, and parcels. The role supports the flow of materials issued and returned from production, performs inventory reconciliations, and labels products according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI). This position requires working 12-hour shifts, day or night, including weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents; inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Process material returns from the production floor and performs inventory reconciliation to maintain accurate balances.
- Operate powered industrial equipment, including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage and execute controls to improve physical inventory standards.
- Coordinate warehouse locations for materials to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
- Schedule inbound deliveries and outbound shipments with the Logistics Coordinator or relevant departments.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and vendors to resolve issues affecting on-time and accurate receipts and shipments.
- Monitor workflow and progress of forklift operators and warehouse staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Prepare, receive, and process inbound and outbound parcels from internal departments and external vendors.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and propose process improvements.
- Adhere to company, OSHA, DOT, EPA, and environmental safety policies and procedures.
- Perform work in accordance with company quality systems, including 5S housekeeping standards.
- Complete other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
- Verify differences in part/inner ID numbers for proper staging of materials.
Education & Experience
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience operating powered industrial equipment in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
- Required ERP system experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and OSHA safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Able to work overtime, weekends, and 12-hour shifts (day and night available).
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions, including SOPs.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
- Must be able to stand and walk up to 90% of the shift.
- Wear always required PPE; additional PPE as needed per department or task.
- Ability to lift and position objects up to 50 lbs., up to 60% of work time.
