ENTRON Controls is a company that is part of the Tuffaloy Group and is headquartered in Greer, SC (www.entroncontrols.com). ENTRON manufactures electronic CPU based controls for use in automotive, appliance and industrial welding.

Overview

The position is responsible for designing and developing electrical components and equipment for the resistance welding industry. The Electronics engineer plays a key role in the product development process, by developing and validating prototypes, developing circuit schematics, and writing technical documents.  The engineer will work within a cross-functional teams to assist in New Product Introductions, develop technical documentation, and assist customers with technical support.

Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

• Develops, designs, and tests electrical components and equipment.

• Designs for new products, prototype, or re-design.

• Write technical documentation for new products, prototype, re-design or sourcing parts.

• Develop the detail circuit schematics and PCBs.

• Provide technical support, including documentation, to support customers.


This position will be located in Greer, SC

Requirements

Electronics Engineer (Hardware and Software)


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering field of study

• Strong understanding of analog design fundamentals

• Experience in microcontroller based hardware and firmware design.

• Hands-on experience with ARM architecture MCUs, preferred  STM 32H7,  NXP i.MX-RT Series

• Familiar with standard serial interface protocols, including RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, USB

• Strong understanding of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Modbus . EtherNet/IP is a plus.

• Experience in utilization of Altium Designer software for schematic design, PCB layout and manufacturing documentation

• In-depth knowledge of C/C++, Visual Basic, and Java

• In-depth knowledge of electronics

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of Programs

• In-depth knowledge of electronics test equipment

• In-depth knowledge of component selection

• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
