Firewatch

Location: Greer, SC
Pay: Up to $25/hour DOE
Schedule: 40+ hours per week
Project Duration: 6+ Months
Start Date: Approximately 2 weeks

Skillforce is hiring Firewatch personnel for an industrial construction project in Greer, SC. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment during welding and hot work operations. Candidates with prior industrial or construction site experience are preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor welding and hot work areas for fire hazards
• Ensure fire extinguishers and safety equipment remain accessible
• Maintain constant watch during active welding operations
• Communicate hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately
• Assist with maintaining clean and organized work areas
• Follow all OSHA and site safety regulations
• Support welders and pipe crews as needed

Requirements:

• Previous construction or industrial site experience preferred
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Ability to remain alert and safety-focused throughout shift
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
