Schedule: 40+ hours per week
Project Duration: 6+ Months
Start Date: Approximately 2 weeks
Skillforce is seeking skilled Pipe Welders for a long-term industrial project in Greer, SC. Welders will primarily perform stick welding on carbon steel pipe systems up to 20ā. This position requires experience completing 6010 root and 7018 cap welds in a production environment. Candidates whose visual welds meet project standards will be sent for weld testing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform stick welding on carbon steel piping systems
- Complete 6010 root and 7018 cap welds
- Weld pipe systems up to 20ā
- Assist with fit-up and pipe preparation as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance with project standards
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Follow OSHA and site-specific safety procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pipe welder in commercial or industrial environments
- Experience with SMAW/Stick welding processes
- Ability to pass weld testing if selected
- Experience welding carbon steel pipe
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Strong attention to detail and weld quality
