Position Overview
The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations across a split-shift schedule, ensuring consistent coverage during key production periods. This role bridges the first and second shifts, fostering seamless workflow, promptly resolving operational challenges, and meeting customer expectations efficiently.
Split Shift Schedule
Schedules can be adjusted to suit facility needs; typical options include:
- 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Oversees the end of Shift 1 and the start of Shift 2)
- 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Provides overlap between shifts and supports changeovers)
These schedules provide:
- Complete visibility over both teams
- Effective management of shift handoffs
- Reduced downtime during shift transitions
- Enhanced accountability for production targets
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise and support production teams during overlapping shifts
- Maintain safe and efficient machine operations
- Monitor production output to meet customer requirements
- Identify and address issues; coordinate maintenance as needed
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production operators
- Enforce safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Manage communications and documentation for shift transitions
- Track attendance, productivity, and workflow challenges
- Collaborate with HR, Maintenance, and Quality teams as required
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing leadership or lead operator roles
- Strong knowledge of machine operations and production processes
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for cross-shift collaboration
- Bilingual abilities (English/Korean/Spanish) are a plus
- Proven record of meeting customer-driven production goals
Physical Requirements & Work Setting
- Work is conducted on the manufacturing floor
- Standing, walking, and monitoring machine areas are essential
- Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
