Job Description

SHIFT DETAILS:  Mon-Friday 12:30p-9:00p

LOCATION:  Turnersville 

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE – To support and assist radiology technologists in the care of patients who are having imaging scans.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Escort patients from main waiting area to department for studies
  • Review and verify patient’s information for accuracy
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
  • Have patient change; if indicated for study
  • Daily computer keyboard use
  • Monitor modality work list
  • Print and/or scan documents into patient accounts
  • Keep the work area stocked, orderly and clean
  • Release images to patients when necessary
  • Communicate information to radiologists, technologists, patients and referring physician offices
  • Cross train in other department as support staff
  • Display a well-groomed professional image
  • Punctuality and regular attendance
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients, their family members, co-workers, and referring physicians’ offices
  • Prior experience in a medical setting preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask in a busy work environment
  • Good computer skills

Physical Demands of the Position – Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and reaching during scheduled shift. Assist patients on and off exam tables.
