We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable Full-Time Driver based in Gresham to provide safe, friendly rides for older adults, people with disabilities, and others throughout our community. How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Ride Connection Driver, you’ll bring independence and connection to people who count on you. Each day you’ll:
- Safely transport riders to medical appointments, social activities, and essential errands
- Operate door to door services and community shuttles across East Multnomah County
- Assist riders—especially those using mobility devices—with genuine care and respect
- Create a welcoming, positive experience for every passenger
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations and remain alert to the comfort and safety of those aboard
- Conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspections, including fuel and safety checks

What You’ll Bring
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (five year look back)
- At least five years of driving experience recorded by the DMV
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds and safely secure mobility devices
- Comfort driving larger passenger vehicles
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- You enjoy using everyday technology—like tablets, smartphones, and email—to stay organized and connected
- You’re flexible and open to learning new tools or online systems that help make our work easier
- Ability to pass a National Criminal Record Check (including fingerprinting)
   * If a record exists, we’ll review it thoughtfully — circumstances are considered on a case‑by‑case basis and may not be a barrier to employment.

- Experience in transportation, customer service, or community programs
- Lived or professional experience working with older adults or people with disabilities

Your Schedule
This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with consistent days off, and the stability of a community service role you can feel good about being part of.

Your safety and our riders’ safety come first. We provide comprehensive training, maintain well equipped vehicles, and support you every mile of the way.
This position may be designated as Safety Sensitive under Federal Transit Administration (FTA) guidelines and may require participation in the FTA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing.
