About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students receiving special education services. You’ll play a key role in helping students access the curriculum, build essential skills, and achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Track and report student progress toward goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
- Support positive behavior strategies and classroom management.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support student success.
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Requirements
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field and possess an active Oregon teaching license with a Special Education endorsement, or be eligible to obtain licensure. Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, along with demonstrated strength in classroom management and organization. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to support student success.
