What You Will Experience

Varied, skill building field experience across a wide range of scenarios.

• Emergency response calls
• High acuity medical transports
• Complex long term care patients
• Interfacility transfers
• Disaster response

Every shift builds assessment ability, communication skills, and clinical judgment.


What You Will Do

• Provide high quality care in accordance with state and local protocols
• Respond to emergency and scheduled medical calls
• Perform patient assessments and document care accurately in the electronic patient care reporting system
• Operate and maintain ambulance equipment and supplies
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatch, hospital staff, and other providers
• Maintain professionalism and accountability in all interactions


Compensation and Schedule

Requirements

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana or National Registry EMT certification

• Current CPR certification (AHA or equivalent)

• Valid Louisiana driver’s license with acceptable driving record

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays


Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to lift and move patients with assistance

• Perform duties in stressful and physically demanding environments

• Maintain focus and clear communication under pressure
