Role Overview

Ā 

The Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for leading and strengthening safety, environmental, and ESG programs across facility operations. This role partners with leaders and employees to identify risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement. By leading proactive safety initiatives, supporting training and development efforts, and ensuring OSHA, EPA, DOT, and ISO compliance, this position plays a key role in protecting our people and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities & Key Performance Indicators

Ā 

Lead Incident Investigations & Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

  • Drive 100% completion of all assigned incident investigations and root cause analysis (RCAs). Ensure OSHA compliance across DCs and manufacturing, including training, recordkeeping (OSHA 300 logs), and support during OSHA, EPA, DOT, and ISO inspections.

Drive Safety & ESG Committees and Initiatives

  • Lead and/or chair Safety and ESG Committees, meeting at least 1x per month, setting project goals, and improving safety awareness, hazard identification, and overall EHS program effectiveness.

Support Training, Onboarding & Safety Culture

  • Conduct New Hire and Contractor EHS orientations and coordinate ongoing training. Promote visibility of EHS initiatives (Behavior-Based Safety, Near Miss reporting, Safe Work Permits) and coach/mentor leaders and teams to strengthen safety culture.

Conduct Audits, Site Visits & Hazard Assessments

  • Perform site visits to DCs to support audits and training, conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA) for routine and non-routine tasks, and proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.

Enhance Environmental Programs & ESG Reporting

  • Support and enhance ESG data analysis, tracking, and reporting processes, manage environmental compliance activities (air, water, waste), and drive waste diversion and recycling program enhancements while maintaining accurate chemical inventory and hazard communication programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 yr. college preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (or equivalent safety-related certification)
  • Experience in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and hazard assessments.
  • strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO 9000/14000/45001, or GMP standards.
  • Experience managing hazardous materials programs and regulatory recordkeeping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ā 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ā Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $81,600– $106,000 annually, plusĀ eligibility for a bonus opportunity with annual payouts distributed in three installments. This range is a good faith estimate of what Hoshizaki America expects to pay for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEĀ 

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 yr. college preferred.  
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience working in industrial / manufacturing health, safety, and environmental quality related activities.  
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certificate or equivalent Safety related Certification  
  • DOT General Awareness Training  
  • Hazardous Materials Management   
  • 3+Ā yrsĀ experience in an EnvironmentalĀ / OccupationalĀ Health and Safety related field  
  • Hazard Analysis/Assessment experience  
  • ISO 9000 and /ISO 14000/ISO 45001Ā or GMP experience
