Biology TA for BIO150

Teaching assistants (TAs) for BIO150 work with the professor and laboratory instructors to help BIO150 students with various aspects of the course. Exact duties may vary slightly by course section and professor. Typically, TAs are expected to attend most lecture and laboratory meetings. TAs will also meet with the professor regularly to discuss other TA duties, which may include helping students with in-class activities, laboratory exercises, and answering general questions about the course. Being a TA is a great way to get involved in the department. Many students find TAing to be a rewarding way to interact with other students and professors, build teaching skills for the future, re-visit course concepts, and earn some money.

Requires strong time management, organizational skills, laboratory experience, oral and written communication skills and ability to problem solve. Must have taken BIO150. Preference to students in their 3rd semester or later.

• BIO150-04: Microbial Pathogenesis. M/W/F 2:10-4:00 pm
