Journeyman - Typically 3 years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.

Leadman - Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers in work crew, providing assistance to Foreman, while working in the capacity of a journeyman.
 


SUMMARY
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site. May move materials manually or using a forklift, dolly, wheelbarrow, or a crane operated crane or hoist. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Track all material for each job.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
- Arranges on site transfer of materials and equipment to meet production schedules
- Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
- Completes and maintains manual or computerized records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
- Coordinates and expedites flow of materials between departments and work areas, according to schedules or department priorities.
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material
- Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to priorities and material availability
- Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications
- May assist with computing amount of material required to complete job tasks
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
