Description
- Adjust roller machines according to blueprints, ensuring correct pressure, bend angles, and dimensions for various metal types.
- Accurately load metal sheets onto rollers, often using hoists or forklifts for larger pieces.
- Continuously monitor rolling cycles, making fine adjustments to maintain exact specifications and prevent defects.
- Check finished products for accuracy, surface imperfections, and structural integrity.
- Inspect and maintain machines, tools, and safety guards; report issues for repair to maintenance.
- Complete job logs and production tags.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience operating metal sheet roller machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of metal properties, rolling techniques, blueprint reading, and problem-solving
- Able to accurately read a tape measure.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as grinders, impact wrenches, and sanders.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Good vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity.
