Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Assistant to join our Groveport, Ohio team. This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and plays a key part in supporting HR initiatives across all FARO facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Onboarding Support
- Prepare recruiting materials and new hire documentationÂ
- Schedule interviews and orientation sessionsÂ
- Facilitate new hire orientations and complete I-9 verificationsÂ
- Process employment applications for Ohio candidatesÂ
- Assist with recruiting efforts for Ohio and other locations as neededÂ
- Provide administrative support (filing, scanning, copying)Â
Employee Engagement & Communication
- Support HR programs such as Benefits Open Enrollment and Safety initiativesÂ
- Participate in committees (Safety, Wellness, Employee Activities, etc.)Â
- Serve as back-up receptionist when neededÂ
HR Administration
- Assist with performance review processesÂ
- Process wage increases and pay progression documentationÂ
- Maintain accurate employee data in timekeeping and scheduling systemsÂ
- Support job posting processesÂ
- Prepare termination documentation and ensure compliance with final pay requirementsÂ
- Guide supervisors on HR policies and proceduresÂ
Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Track completion of safety, ethics, and compliance trainingÂ
- Maintain and audit personnel files and HR recordsÂ
- Accurately file employee documentationÂ
- Monitor training, attendance, and performance-related recordsÂ
- Update employee status changes in HR systems (e.g., Workday)Â
- Assist with leave of absence, ADA, and workers’ compensation processesÂ
- Perform additional administrative duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
- Previous Human Resources experience preferredÂ
- Ability to maintain strict confidentialityÂ
- Experience with payroll systems is a plusÂ
- Strong multitasking skills across multiple systems and applicationsÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Strong computer navigation abilitiesÂ
- Basic math and reading skillsÂ
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusÂ
