Grundy County Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this role, you’ll use ultrasound technology to capture high-quality echocardiographic images that help providers evaluate heart structure and function.

Responsibilities
- Perform adult echocardiographic ultrasound exams following established policies and procedures
- Capture, review, and document high-quality images to support diagnosis and treatment
- Use clinical judgment to recognize normal and abnormal findings during exams
- Communicate relevant information to providers and interpreting physicians
- Prepare preliminary reports and support timely follow-up when needed
- Help ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout each procedure
- Maintain equipment, identify concerns, and assist with basic troubleshooting
- Support quality improvement, accreditation, and department workflow needs
- Complete related documentation, scheduling, and billing support tasks accurately
Qualifications
Education:Â
Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
Â
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- OR
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
