Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality echocardiograms to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions
  • Evaluate patients and adapt imaging techniques to obtain accurate diagnostic results
  • Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient care
  • Review and communicate imaging findings according to established protocols
  • Prioritize patient safety, comfort, and a positive care experience throughout each exam
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete required exam-related processes
  • Assist with equipment care, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities
  • Support department accreditation, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development
  • Maintain required certifications and stay current with industry standards

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.

 

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current certification as one of the following:
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Or
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
