Responsibilities
- Perform waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing following established procedures
- Collect, receive, process, and prepare patient specimens, including phlebotomy as needed
- Support testing across multiple laboratory areas, including chemistry, hematology, and specimen processing
- Work collaboratively with certified laboratory professionals to ensure accurate, timely results
- Perform quality control, routine instrument maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
- Accurately document patient information and laboratory orders within electronic systems
- Follow laboratory safety standards and regulatory requirements to maintain quality and compliance
- Assist with training new team members and supporting departmental workflows
- Help maintain laboratory supplies and inventory to support daily operations
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Certification (or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.
