Monitors and delivers real-time visibility of AMR & AMI network health -including Head End System performance, device alarms, communication gaps, device health, firmware campaigns, and VEE exceptions- and identifies, analyzes, and correlates outages and anomalies to ensure accurate situational awareness.
Performs triage and prioritization of issues by executing remote diagnostics and escalating with evidence to Field Technicians as needed, while coordinating targeted investigations, resolving failed reads, communication loss, and device health issues, and conducting root‑cause analysis across customer, network, and device layers to reduce recurring anomalies and improve overall performance.
Reports underperformance and missing meter data to appropriate internal parties by providing SLA compliance reporting, exception trends, deployment quality insights, and device lifecycle performance, while analyzing data to identify trends and generate actionable insights that support business decisions.
Develops system capabilities to backfill missing data and translate raw information into actionable recommendations for Field Techs, IT/OT, engineering, and customer experience teams, while preparing reports and dashboards that communicate findings clearly, support performance tracking, and collaborating with teams to define data needs for accurate, goal‑aligned analysis.
Collaborates with internal teams to achieve the best possible AMI system performance and success while serving as the internal systems expert and recommending formal actions to senior staff.
Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.
Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.
Additional Job Description:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics or related field from an accredited college or university.
Technical degree with electricity focus, and interest in Data Operationalization will be considered.
Experience
3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, process improvement, business strategic support (interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, forecast, statistical results) and other analytical functions.
Experience using business systems or analytic platforms.
2 years of experience in a Utility Environment is preferred.
Experience working with and combining large data sets will also be considered.
Additional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics or related field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 3 years of experience performing a previous Analyst role.
High School or equivalent (GED) when accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 5 years of experience performing a previous Analyst role.
