Pre Press Technician

To strengthen our Prepress Team in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, we are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Prepress Technician. The successful candidate will prepare customer artwork and production files for high-quality printing, ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and compliance with production requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise in prepress processes, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering press-ready files that support efficient manufacturing and the production of high-quality folding cartons.

Your Role

• You will prepare and verify customer artwork and production files to ensure they are press-ready and meet quality and production requirements.
• You will perform preflight inspections, apply trapping, color corrections, separations, impositions, and create proofs for customer approval.
• You will ensure color accuracy, barcode compliance, and adherence to ICC profile and printing standards.
• You will collaborate closely with Structural Design, Production, and Quality teams to support efficient manufacturing and resolve technical issues.
• You will operate and perform routine maintenance on the plate processor to ensure optimal performance and consistent print quality.
• You will maintain organized digital files, documentation, and workflow records while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and quality objectives.
• You will contribute to a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment by following company policies and industry best practices.

Your Profile

• You have an Associate degree in Graphic Arts or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is an advantage.
• You have at least 2 years of experience in prepress, graphic arts, or packaging production.
• You are proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Esko software; experience with packaging workflows is preferred.
• You have a solid understanding of color management, trapping, imposition, proofing, and offset printing processes.
• You have strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• You are able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting production deadlines.
• You work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• You are committed to quality, continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
