About the Role

Our renowned client is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Retail Territory Manager to oversee the operational, commercial, and contractual performance of a portfolio of service stations. This role ensures that each site operates safely, efficiently, profitably, and in full compliance with TotalEnergies standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, analytical thinker, and proactive leader capable of building productive relationships with dealers and driving continuous improvement across the network.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)

  • Ensure compliance with all HSEQ policies, golden rules, and operational standards.

  • Verify presence and functionality of safety equipment at all sites.

  • Conduct stock controls to prevent losses and ensure product quality.

  • Integrate hygiene and HACCP controls into periodic inspections and report deviations.

  • Guarantee superior site operations and customer service standards.

Dealer & Contract Management

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with dealers to protect company interests.

  • Identify and address contract deviations immediately.

  • Complete qualification processes for new dealer candidates.

  • Renew contracts and leases in a timely manner.

  • Ensure guarantee bonds and insurance policies are active and compliant.

  • Perform fuel reconciliation and site inspections.

  • Enforce hours of operation and contractual obligations.

  • Report dealer actions that may negatively impact company operations.

  • Stay informed on applicable petroleum laws and regulations (DACO, PMPA).

Profitability & Commercial Performance

  • Achieve annual fuel sales and rent income objectives.

  • Develop action plans to increase sales and improve profitability.

  • Analyze dealer P&L and ensure site competitiveness.

  • Conduct price surveys for fuels and lubricants.

  • Manage daily money collection and debt recovery.

  • Ensure compliance with credit and payment terms.

  • Coordinate internal and external interfaces to maximize business performance.

  • Ensure acceptance of all approved payment methods.

  • Implement company promotions and commercial plans.

  • Report C-Store sales monthly to the Non-Fuel Manager.

  • Follow up on maintenance and repair needs.

Network Development

  • Identify opportunities for new projects within existing sites.

  • Recommend high-potential sites for branding or rebranding.

  • Keep management informed of market trends and dealer activities.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or significant experience in strategic management, sales, marketing, or administration.

  • Experience in retail network operations, commercial activities, or marketing.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain relationships.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
