We are located in Altamont, NY, and are looking to hire a full-time Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

Quality Control Inspector Job Summary: Met Weld is looking to fill a Quality Control Inspector position to support Receiving Inspection, In-process Fabrication Inspection, Final Inspection & Testing, Work Process Control, Visual and NDE Inspections, and other related QA/QC duties.

Quality Control Inspector Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspections and basic measurements on materials and finished products
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate material traceability logs
  • Report defects or nonconformities to supervisors for nonconformance/corrective action
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized inspection area
  • Follow safety guidelines and company quality standards
  • Learn and apply inspection procedures under supervision

Skills Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of quality control processes
  • Ability to use simple measuring tools such as rulers, gauges, or calipers
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or basic data entry software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Good communication skills
  • Dependable and able to work in a team environment

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical/Vocational training or associate degree in a related field preferred
